Coming Together
for a Common Good Economy

Join us for a Weekend (overnight) Retreat

at The Inn at Shaker Mill Farm, Canaan, NY
led by Christopher Schaefer and Paul Deslauriers

6:00 pm Friday January 28
TO
1:00 pm Sunday January 30, 2011

Momentum is growing for a Common Good Bank and the Campaign for a Common Good Economy. This is an ideal time for us to come together — all of us who want to work actively for a Common Good Economy — NOW before we launch the Campaign publicly this spring. This will be a time for us to reflect together on our current status and strategize how best to work together to make the Common Good Economy a reality in 2011.

Donations are encouraged, to cover the expense, which we expect to be about $70 per person, including food and overnight accommodations for both Friday and Saturday.

Registration is limited to 40 (the Inn's capacity). Founding Members will be given preference (you can go here to join, if you haven't yet). We request that participants be present for the entire retreat. (Exceptions will be considered on an individual basis.)

Presently, Paul is the Executive Director of Community Organizing for Action (Co-Act), which is involved with locally produced energy, ending hunger and malnutrition, public transportation, and local currency.

The Inn at Shaker Mill Farm. As befits a converted 1824 Shaker mill, the 22 rooms, which can accommodate up to 40, are comfortably furnished and all have private bathrooms. Shaker peg rails hang along the plaster walls. The large sunroom (24' x 30') has a wall of glass windows that look out on the mill's picturesque brook and waterfall, and the lounge has a unique circular fireplace.
