As much as possible under the law, within the demands of legal accountability by the board of directors, each Common Good Bank workplace (that is, each Branch Office) will regulate its own work environment democratically. At a minimum, this will involve a Workers Council with a strong role in setting the number of working hours, balanced job complexes, vacation schedules, benefits, and other workplace issues.
The board of directors will be responsible for hiring an executive officer who understands and supports workplace democracy, and the board's Personnel and Human Relations Committee will ensure that the Workers Council maintains its field of authority.
