Midwest Organizing Begins

My name is Chris Meyer, and I’ve just begun organizing support for CGB in the Midwest. On Saturday the 1st, I gave a presentation about CGB at the Goshen Farmers Market in Northern Indiana. The platform was the Community Forum, which is a limited attendance, RSVP-only forum held about every other week which highlights issues of social significance. The presentation was received very enthusiastically by the people in attendance. Though none of them are accredited investors (I’m pretty sure), it was a good temperature reading on the interest level of CGB in my area. As I had thought, this would be an ideal place for a CGB branch.

I’m not planning to go through extensive efforts to sign people up just yet – I want to wait until the seed capital is raised and the charter is granted. Once that happens, I estimate a minimum of 500 people from Goshen and Elkhart would sign up to join the bank using reasonable marketing efforts. For now, I’m planning to develop a power point presentation (for use in conjunction with the video slideshow) to show to community leaders in Goshen and nearby communities. And of course, I will be on the lookout for accredited investors.
