Hello friends of the common good! William Spademan here, bowing at last to the unarguably sensible urgings of many of you, that I keep you better informed about the project’s progress.

So here you go: an almost daily chronicle of the ups and downs and nittie grittie details of what’s happening and why and “when is this fabulous bank going to open anyway?” I will still send out a quarterly (more or less) summary of the important developments, but you can always visit this blog if you want a current update.

As one Advisory Board member points out, common good bank transparency ought to begin NOW. So if you want to see the seamy underside of starting a new kind of bank, designed expressly for economic justice, sustainability and strong local economies independent of the dollar, you are in the right place.
