I met today at the airport with Aubrey Keller and Gerald Higginbotham of East St. Louis, leaders of the Living Learning In Faith Everyday (LLIFE) movement there, working to empower America’s most disenfranchised communities. LLIFE needs a community-owned bank as part of its strategy. The common good bank project needs promotion. We talked about how we might work together to make it all happen. More thought and discussion will be needed, but it looks promising. While driving (1.5 hours each way), I continued to plan short presentations for the “Building a Local Economy that Works for All in the Pioneer Valley” workshop this Thursday and the Massachusetts Green Party convention on Sunday.
